The European Court has ruled that you can buy wine from any EU member country paying just the tax in the country of origin, only if you carry it yourself. So a trip across the Channel is the only way to buy wine at low French tax rates
But if you don't want to drive all the way to the vineyard when your precious wine runs out, just buy a cheap day return ferry to Calais and collect it form our facility at Ardres, a few minutes drive from the port.
The collection point makes a very small charge for looking after your wine - just half a Euro or about 34p per bottle - much cheaper than paying high UK taxes and retail mark-ups. There is no other charge for the service but you must be a member of on-line wine club, winedrive.com. You can do this FREE by clicking Join Now or the button at the top of this page.
Membership allows you to make as many Calais deliveries as you like from Winedrive listed French vineyards, and you have 115 to choose from offering more than 1,000 wines, many with top awards and industry commendations.
